Description


Honeywell’s Prepositioning and Marine Corps Logistics Services (P&MCLS) program is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistics services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) and U.S. Navy.

 

We are seeking a GENERATOR MECHANIC for our Kuwait location.

 

Position Responsibilities


The generator mechanic position reports to the Engineer / HE Supervisor for the Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Augmentation Program (MAP). Duties include performing mechanical and electrical repairs to include inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, diagnosing instruments and systems maintained within the engineer section of the MAP (floodlight sets, generators). Other electrical support may be required on components which have typically been removed from ground support equipment, tracked or wheeled heavy duty vehicles. Must be capable of determining the required tools, Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) and support equipment necessary to perform inspection and repair to the equipment assigned. Perform Limited Technical Inspections. Perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS). Perform scheduled Care of Supplies in Storage (COSIS). Perform field level maintenance, as required. Complete maintenance/administrative forms and records, input the required information into the Global Combat Support System – Marine Corps (GCSS-MC). Comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications


Basic Qualifications:


Associate’s degree requiring a minimum of 500 hours of instruction or equivalent. This knowledge may be obtained by a combination of on-the-job training and/or formalized technical schools.


Four years of directly related work experience.


Must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport.


Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.


U.S. Citizen. Proof required.


Additional Qualifications:


Complete the Basic Electrical Equipment Repairman Course, or equivalent.


Complete the Advanced Military Maintenance School, or equivalent.


Must be able to lift 50 pounds.


In-depth knowledge of electrical circuitry, electrical principles and formulas, and their practical application to the equipment and systems repaired.


Knowledge of electronic circuitry and theory and general mechanical skills and knowledge.


Ability to apply knowledge of wire color codes, symbols, layout sheets, wiring diagrams, schematics, technical orders, and manufacturer’s specifications.


Must possess valid State Driver’s License.


Ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.

 

Additional Information:


In addition to meeting Honeywell employment requirements, the United States Marine Corps has minimal standards of fitness for deployment. Your continued employment is contingent upon your being approved for deployment by the United States Marine Corps, in accordance with their policies and regulations.
Additionally, your employment is also contingent on successfully completing the Kuwaiti Embassy background requirements (no criminal record found) and passing all CRC/DPC requirements medical, dental and immunization shots and must be deployable.
