Description

Ali Al-Arbash and Sons Company has been in the Kuwaiti jewelry market for more than 70 years. From humble beginnings in pearl trading, Ali Al-Arbash and sons grew to become one of the pioneers in the Kuwaiti jewelry business. It started back in the 1930’s in Souk Al-Dakheli, one of the main markets of old Kuwait, in a small jewelry shop called Ali Al-Arbash and sons Jewelry. From this small shop, Ali Al-Arbash, the father, traded in pearls along with his sons; Mohammed Ali (Abu AbdulKareem), AbdulRasool (Abu AbdulRedha), and AbdulNabi (Abu Faisal).By 1947 the once small Al-Arbash Pearl shop began to sell gold items as well. Some of the pieces were embellished with small pearls to give them a more unique appeal. The early 1960’s made traveling abroad much easier from Kuwait. Thus, in, 1961 Ali Al-Arbash and sons seized the opportunity and began importing jewelry from India. The Indian designs were intriguing, garnished with a variety of precious stones and diamonds. Ali-Alarbash and sons succeeded in being one of the first to trade in such quality items in the Kuwaiti market place. Soon after, Ali Al-Arbash family suffered the passing of their father, now leaving the future of the business in the hands of the three sons.
