With consumer demand for international Restaurant and Food Retail brands growing dynamically in the Middle East and throughout our global markets, Alshaya is implementing a rapid growth strategy aiming to more than double its turnover of sales and coverage within the next three to five years. To realize our highly ambitious and aggressive expansion plan for food division, the Company is currently looking for a proactive, commercially focused and profit driven Business Manager to lead our new restaurant brand. Based in the head office in Kuwait, the successful candidate will interact on a daily basis with the company’s operating board to deliver the vision for this brand. For this role, we are looking only for Italian speakers.

The role:
*Design and implement a solid commercial strategy to establish, develop and grow the brand in Kuwait with a potential to scale and grow the business further;
*Lead and provide strategic direction for the brand’s multiple elements – Retail, F&B, Food Service and Delivery operations;
*To be accountable for the full P&L of the brand;
*Define the strategic business plan to deliver profitable sales growth;
*Lead and direct the operations, marketing and visual operations;
*Ensure consistency of product & service delivery to meet the high demands of local and international customers;
*Guarantee retail proposition, F&B processes and customer service to comply with fine, specialty food and retail standards;
*Manage and grow relationships with the host brand.

The requirements:
*Advanced Italian Language skills – Verbal & Written;
* Experience in managing start-up brands;
*Blue Chip experience gained in successful restaurant brands;
*Successful track record of leading successful and profitable multi-site operations;
*Combining “Hands-On” operational experience and strong strategic skills;
*P&L accountability and fluency with financial reporting;
*Talent and succession planning, training and development skills.

The person:
*Energetic and driven;
*Can demonstrate skill in developing profitable sales at category level through effective range planning and order management;
*Food and Beverage/Food Service comprises a major part of the business and experience of this area will be a prerequisite;
*Strong negotiating skills, capable of managing multi-disciplined supplier relationships;
*Comfortable managing complexity;
*Strong commercial acumen & analytical thinker.
