Al Tayer Group is delighted to announce plans to open the first Bloomingdales store in Kuwait which is part of a strategic partnership with Macys, Inc.
Bloomingdales Kuwait will fulfill the New York City stores promise of "like no other store in the world" with offerings such as leading luxury brand experiences, and seamless digital and social media integration.  This will enhance the in-store experience, deliver extraordinary personalised services with curated product selection to create an authentic welcome and delight experience for our customers.
Opening in February, the three-level apparal, beauty and accessories store, spanning over, square feet will anchor the Mall, Kuwaits luxury retail destination.
Interviewing for our exciting Bloomingdales Kuwait career opportunities will take place between March and August. Job Specification
We are currently looking for a motivated Floor Manager to join our Bloomingdales Kuwait Management team.  This role requires a focused individual who can provide leadership to a large team to achieve goals and objectives.
As a member of the Management structure of the Department Store it is expected that you are able to work as a team, whilst maintaining brand image, operational compliance and customer satisfaction.  This role will involve monitoring sales per square foot to ensure maximum productivity within brand and store specifications, whilst having a full understanding of customer profiles in order to share this information with our Marketing, Planning and Buying teams.
You will be able to prepare and analyse reports relating to stock takes and current performance trends to ensure all sales opportunities are maximised.
Identifying commercial opportunities and making recommendations to increase sales targets is a critical element to this position.
Experience
The ideal individual will come from a Department Store background with 5-7 years proven experience of successfully running a profitable retail environment.  We are looking for someone that has managed a significant size department and has an in depth knowledge of the fashion and retail industry.  You should be able to show thorough product knowledge and have a sound understanding of latest trends.
The successful candidate should have a background in driving sales and commercial opportunities, and you should be able to demonstrate how you have met and exceeded targets.
Customer service is a very important part of this role and therefore you will have to evidence how you have cultivated a culture of excellent customer service.
You should also have experience in ensuring Visual Merchandising standards are maintained within the brand expectations.
