To continue its ambitious expansion, the company is currently moving to next generation applications and development of IT infrastructure. In order to support and achieve this aggressive growth, Alshaya is currently looking for a highly experienced Head of Application Change Delivery to join the IT division. This role reports to the Chief Information officer and is based in Kuwait. The Head of Application Change Delivery is responsible for leading a high performing development team in order to provide effective enterprise application change aligned to the tactical and strategic business requirements.
-Responsible for leading and managing a large team of business analysts, technical leads and developers who work closely with business stakeholders to develop strategy and business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
-Direct, deliver, test and bring about an effective enterprise application change.
-Accountable for the successful implementation of corporate wide projects and changes such as mobile, CRM, eCommerce, cloud, digital, ERP and analytics.
-Responsible for managing third party resource suppliers (system integrators) and working with software vendors, developing partner relationships, securing value for money and quality of service.
-Implements and champions corporate policies, methods and governance frameworks.
-15+ years experience with at least a 10 years proven track record in creating and leading a customer focused high performing development team (ideally 100+ team members).
-Extensive experience in partnering and negotiating with SI’s and software vendors both in RFQ/RFP process and in deployment.
-At least 5 years experience in Agile and Prince 2 with ITIL certification strongly preferred.
-In-depth knowledge of application technologies that include ERP, analytics, digital/ECOMM, cloud, mobile, SaaS, PaaS, EPOS etc.
-In-depth understanding of “delivering” according to Information Security policies and procedures.
-Experience working with distributed and offshore IT organisations would be advantageous, with some retail experience.
-Experience working in matrix organisations within an international organisation.
-Any knowledge of leading bespoke code based software development would be a significant advantage.
-Proven ability to think strategically and to innovate with a passion for emerging next generation technology.
-Excellent knowledge of business change/multi-channel transformation with extensive change management experience to support the same.
-Ability to problem solve, influence with excellent networking skills.
