The UN-backed Yemen peace talks which have started in Kuwait last month continues with no visible sign of progress on a lasting settlement.

On Friday, the Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed announced, that seven Yemeni women leaders have arrived in Kuwait to push the interlocutors to achieve a comprehensive peace agreement. This comes after a devastating war for more than a year in Yemen and a number of failed attempts to break a peace deal.

We have no confidence in the adversaries but we have faith in the civil power. These women represent an important force for breaking the deadlock and we have to support their efforts.

We need action during this troubled peace talks in Kuwait.

Dear Sister, In this critical stage, please drop out your religion, political beliefs and use your identity as a woman (mothers, sisters, wives and daughters) and join us to protest and call for an immediate cessation of hostilities.

We call for Yemeni Women and our sisters across the globe to hold a peaceful sit-in in front of Bayan Palace in Kuwait where the peace talks are taking place until a peace deal is reached.
