New Door For Corruption

16 January 2017 Kuwait

Chairman of the Union of Kuwait Engineering Offices and Consultancy Firms Engineer Bader Al-Salman has warned of the dangers of parliamentary calls to allow citizens working in public sector to be licensed to carry on private activities and other projects, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

He added the proposal if approved will present a new door for corruption, indicating calls of this kind only aim to stir up the feelings of voters in establishing more electoral bases. He noted the idea of citizens keeping their jobs in public sector in addition to private activities and other projects will only add to the expenses of the national workforce on the State, while the main concern is to attract more national personnel to work in private sector in order to save huge sums paid in the form of grants.
