2,880 Cyber Crimes Recorded In 2016 Year

The Public Prosecution last year recorded 2,880 cyber crimes, reports Al-Jarida daily quoting reliable sources. This is considered to be the biggest number since the application of the Cyber Crimes Law in January 2016 especially after adding the publication and audiovisual crimes to the law. The sources said the Prosecution, since the application of the law, is receiving complaints filed at police mostly related to abuse on WhatsApp and Twitter applications.
