2 Asian Men Were Arrested For Cutting Plants
Two Asian men were arrested not far from the Special Forces Camp for cutting fungal plants, an act that affects the plant environment, says an Interior Ministry press release. Security sources said the duo was taken to the Environment Police Department for necessary legal measures pending their deportation, as per the directive of the Interior Minister to deport anyone caught in the act of damaging environment. According to Article (41) of Environment Protection Law No. 42/2014 modified by Law No. 99/2015 stipulates that “Direct grazing or usage of land for agriculture or exercising other activities that could be detrimental to the quality or quantity of vegetation in any area leading to desertification, degradation of environment or wildlife is strictly prohibited.
