Security forces have busted two locations in Al-Ahmadi governorate where 'unlawful consultations' were held, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced on Wednesday.

These consultations are a violation of law number 35/1962, which deals with parliamentary elections.

The law states that all those found to have committed 'illegal consultations' will face incarceration for a period of five years and a fine no less thank KD 1,000, a statement by the ministry noted.

Moreover, the statement added that legal action has been filed against all those involved in such unscrupulous activities, as they have been referred to authorities.

The 2016 parliamentary elections are held according to decree 20/2012, amended by law 42/2006 on re-organizing the electoral constituencies.
