2 Police Officers Arrested

11 September 2016 Crime News

The Public Prosecutor ordered the detention of two police officers and some Asian expatriates for fabricating a crime of alcohol trafficking against an Asian expatriate. The two police officers raided the house of an Asian expatriate, whom they accused of selling liquor, and referred him to the authorities from where he was referred to the Central Prison.

The victim’s mother tried to lodge a complaint at a police station but she was advised to lodge the complaint with the Public Prosecution. The Public Prosecutor, who had doubts over the case report, questioned the two officers as they did not have the right to raid the house because it falls within the authority of securitymen. The Public Prosecutor eventually discovered that it was a fabricated crime and the two officers cooperated with some Asians who had dispute with the victim, and ordered their arrest. The victim was released and also the two police officers and the Asians after paying him money to drop the case.
