20,000 Narcotic Pills Seized

Personnel from the General Department for Drug Control in cooperation with customs officers at the Abdali border post have arrested a GCC citizen for attempting to smuggle a large quantity of narcotic pills into the country.

The suspect is a bus driver and was transporting pilgrims to and fro to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. The arrest came following a tip-off from an unidentified source. Police have seized from the man 20,000 pills which were found hidden in a secret compartment of the bus.
