27 Cars, 5 Bikes Seized, 38 People Into Custody

General Traffic Department last week launched impromptu campaigns in all six governorates upon directives from the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Lieutenant General Sheikh Khalid Al- Jarrah Al-Sabah, which resulted in the issuance of 29,566 violations for various citations. Traffic officers during the period impounded 27 vehicles plus 5 motorbikes and referred 38 people into custody, deported an expatriate for driving without license, and recovered 19 wanted vehicles.

Public Relations and Media Information Department stated that traffic officers issued 505 citations against motorists for driving on excessive speed along King Fahad Expressway, Nuwaiseeb Road and King Abdulaziz Motorway. They also issued 572 violations against motorists on the Second Ring Road for various offenses, 132 involving immoral acts with 8 cases of reckless driving, and impounded 5 motorbikes plus 23 vehicles.
