3 Citizens Gets 15-year Jail For Stealing Thousands By Fraud

The Appellate Court presided over by Judge Nasser Salem Al-Heed upheld the verdict issued by the Criminal Court which sentenced three Kuwaiti citizens to 15-year imprisonment with hard labor for the theft of KD 470,000 by forging official documents and data. They have also been obligated to return the stolen amount and pay a combined fine of KD 940,000. Two of the three defendants are public employees one from Hawally Enforcement Department and other from Ministry of Communications. The Public Prosecution accused the first and second suspects, who are the public employees, of assisting the third suspect in possessing KD 470,000 illegally by forging official documents and manipulating the data stored in the server of the department.
