340 People Died In Kuwait Due To Traffic Accidents In A Single Year

Starting from this year, various traffic accidents in the country killed 340 persons till last Sunday, local daily reported quoting Interior Ministry statistics. This indicates an average death of 1.3 person in a day.

The source said that official statistics are alarming, saying that the number of victims and injured people are on the rise. According to report in that 340 persons, 39 percent of whom are Kuwaiti, were killed in 267 days.The source said lack of attention while driving is one of the main reasons behind accidents in Kuwait. Most road victims are young men and women, as the age group of 21 to 30 years registered the highest percentage in the number of victims, followed by the group from 31 to 40 years
