36,844 Cards Issued To Illegal Residents In 2016 - Official

Some 36,844 cards were issued to illegal residents since the beginning of the year until the end of May, said an official Saturday.

Director at the Central Apparatus for Illegal Residents, Tariq Mohammed Al-Buaijan told that the cards allowed illegal residents to follow up on their government transactions, noting that requests to receive the cards are completed within a few days.

Meanwhile, the official noted that some 1,064 (to whom it may concern) documents were issued within the same period ending in May. Some 1,061 thumb print identification had been carried out during the same period, said Al-Buaijan, noting that this step would help facilitate transactions at the apparatus.
