5 Asian Expats Held In Makeshift Market Bust

Five Asian expatriates were arrested in Mahboula area for selling foodstuff and fish illegally in makeshift stalls, reports Al-Seyassah daily. According to security sources, Ahmadi Security Director Brigadier Abdullah Safa formed a security team to hold a sudden campaign in Mahboula area against hawkers who sell foodstuff and fish illegally.

Upon arrival of the security team, most of the hawkers abandoned their stalls and ran away. Securitymen managed to capture five of them and confiscated their foodstuffs which have been referred for destroying to Kuwait Municipality. The suspects have been referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action. Sources affirmed that such campaigns against hawkers will continue.
