The Criminal Court presided over by Judge Waleed Al-Kandari sentenced a Kuwaiti citizen to five-year imprisonment with hard labor and acquitted six other defendants over the murder of a Bedoun youth in Jahra last year.

According to the case file, the Public Prosecution accused the first suspect of manslaughter using a knife and the other suspects of encouraging the first suspect to commit the crime.

During the court session, Attorney Mohammad Al-Selaili, the defense counsel to the second, fourth and seventh suspects, stressed that his clients did not intend to participate in the crime but they happened to be at the site of the incident by pure chance.
