510 Illegal Residents Were Studying At Kuwait University

The Central Apparatus for Illegal Residents announced on Saturday that some 510 illegal residents, from both sexes, are currently studying at Kuwait University.

Assistant Secretary General for Technical and Information Affairs in the Apparatus Waleed Al-Asfoor told KUNA that this figure has now been doubled compared to when the apparatus was formed six years ago, noting that this figure does not include the students studying at private colleges and universities.

Al-Asfoor explained that the apparatus worked since its inception on rationalizing admission mechanism of government higher education in an effort to promote tertiary education to the illegal residents particularly the distinguished ones commensurate with the absorptive capacity of the faculties of the university.
