7 Candidates Drop Out Of Electoral Race

The general department for elections affairs announced on Wednesday that seven candidates withdrew from the parliamentary elections race slated for November 26.

Thus, the total number of candidates contesting the next parliamentary elections following today's withdrawal has reached 395, the department said in a statement.

It added that Jalil Ibrahim Haidar Ali and Abdullah Taleb Hussein Al-Hamad withdrew from the 2nd constituency, whereas Khaled Rabih Mufarreh Al-Rasheedi, Khalil Ibrahim Al-Shammari, Sayer Eid Sayer Al-Thafiri, Faris Naser Al-Noon and Mansour Al-Thafiri withdrew from the 4th constituency.

The parliamentary elections 2016 are held according to decree 20/2012, amended by law 42/2006 on re-organizing the electoral constituencies.
