8 Year Old Child Died And 14 Injured In Al-oyoun Blaze

An eight-year old child died and 14 individuals including three firefighters, five children, four Kuwaiti citizens and two Ethiopian housemaids sustained injuries in a huge fire that engulfed a house in Al-Oyoun area.

According to sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the house on fire, firefighters rushed to the location and evacuated 18 men and women.

They discovered that an eight-year old child died in the fire and 14 individuals sustained injuries. The corpse of the deceased was referred to Forensics Department while the injured victims were referred to Jahra Hospital for treatment. Sources revealed that 15 ambulances were summoned to the location to transfer the injured to Jahra Hospital. Investigations have been launched to determine the cause of the fire. A number of neighbors including youths had assisted in the rescue mission.
