A Cooperative Society Accountant Escaped With 30,000 Kuwaiti Dinar

An Egyptian accountant working at the supply branch of a cooperative society left for his home country in possession of cash worth KD 38,000 that belonged to the cooperative society, reports Al-Shahed daily. The accountant sent a message to the chairman of the board which said, “Pardon me”. The new Board of Directors of the cooperative society held a meeting and discovered that the accountant did not deposit the money which belonged to the cooperative society. They launched an investigation to figure out how the accountant got his passport and why he did not deposit the money right away. Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor has been informed about the theft and the case was referred to the Public Prosecution.
