A Kuwaiti Woman Sentenced To One Year In Jail

The Misdemeanor Court sentenced a Kuwaiti woman to one-year imprisonment and ordered her to pay a fine of KD 1,000 because she offended a judge while he was on official duty in the court. According to the case file, after the Kuwaiti woman insulted the judge, the head of the court ordered the guards to detain the suspect at the Justice Palace and submitted a petition against her at the Public Prosecution. The Public Prosecution accused her of insulting a member of the judicial authority in public while he was on official duty.
