Officers from Ahmadi Traffic Department arrested 9 kids for driving without license; 18 cars confiscated during an intensive traffic campaign that they carried out around the schools and institutes of Ahmadi Governorate with the aim of arresting reckless drivers to ensure the protection of pedestrians particularly the students.
According to a press release issued by Ministry of Interior, the campaign was launched based on instructions from Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs Major General Abdullah Yousef Al-Muhanna.
The officers arrested the nine minors for driving vehicles without driving licenses, and they seized 18 vehicles which they referred to the seized-vehicle garage in Mina Abdullah. They also issued a number of citations for various traffic violations such as using mobile phone while driving, not wearing seat belts while driving, expiry of driving licenses and parking in banned areas.
