Ammunition And Weapons Confiscated

Public Relations and Security Media Department of Ministry of Interior revealed in a press statement that four unidentified individuals were arrested in possession of unlicensed ammunition and weapons which they had hidden in their homes. The department explained that the General Department for Weapons Investigation represented by the Information and License Management were reviewing the licenses granted to individuals and companies when they discovered that a Kuwaiti citizen had forged a permit, which was supposed to be issued by the management, for purchasing bullets. Based on instructions from Director General of the General Department for Weapons Investigation Brigadier Abdulrahman Abdullah Al-Suhail and his deputy Colonel Walid Al-Shehab and under the supervision of the Director of Information and License Management Lieutenant Colonel Saleh Mohammad Al-Omar, a team of officers raided the homes of the four individuals and arrested them in possession of a number of different types of ammunitions including 50 9mm ammunition rounds, 435 rifle rounds, 343 cartridges of hunting guns as well as an unlicensed air rifle. They were referred with the confiscated ammunition and weapons to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
