Author Order To Pay Compensation Worth Kd 5,000 For Stealing The Idea Of A Kuwaiti Woman Novel

 The Cassation Court presided over by Judge Mohammad Al- Jasmi ordered a notable author to pay compensation worth KD 5,000 for stealing the idea of a Kuwaiti woman’s novel for a drama without obtaining her legal permission. The Public Prosecution accused the suspect of violating intellectual rights by stealing the story of the novel titled ‘Nour and Jinni’ written by the plaintiff, as proven in the documents. The plaintiff counsel Attorney Hanadi Shokrallah affirmed that her client suffered from material and psychological damages due to the violations committed with regard to her novel. She requested the court to impose toughest penalty against the defendant and compensate her client for the damages she faced.
