Bangladeshi Gets Death, Compatriot Life In Prison For Trafficking In Drugs

The Criminal Court sentenced a Bangladeshi to death by execution and his compatriot to life imprisonment for trafficking in drugs, reports Al-Seyassah daily. Case files indicate the arrest happened after one of the accused beat the red light in Ahmadi.

The officers, who stopped the suspects due to the traffic violation, got suspicious after noticing the agitated demeanor of the two Bangladeshis. The officers then searched the vehicle thoroughly, resulting in the discovery of six bags of hashish. The two Bangladeshis were referred to the Public Prosecution which charged them with drug trafficking.
