Cid Employee Arrested Over Joke On Daesh

The State Security police have arrested an unidentified employee working for the Criminal Investigation Department for placing a call overseas to a citizen and claiming to be member of DAESH and luring him to join the organization.

He also informed the recipient of the call that a terrorist operation was being planned but the place, date or time was not mentioned.

Following a complaint filed by the Kuwaiti, the State Security police managed to identify the caller. During interrogation the suspect said he was just playing a joke on his ‘friend’.
