Cops Arrested 65 People, Those Are Wanted By Law

Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Border Security Affairs at the Interior Ministry Major General Faisal Al-Saneen disclosed that concerned authorities at Kuwait International Airport from 20/01/2016 to 20/02/2016 apprehended 65 people wanted by law through the implementation of necessary security procedures for passengers on arrival and departure. In a statement, Major General Al-Saneen said some suspects were arrested on arrival at the airport while others were trying to leave the country.

He said two suspects were arrested for drug related offenses and two others for their involvement in illegitimate authentication of the entry and exit procedures of an expatriate lady who’s currently outside the country.

They also apprehended 20 people for financial, security and criminal offenses, and received six suspects from the customs section of the airport, and two people for deportation.

He explained that 13 people tried to leave the country using forged passports, and they also received four people extradited from various airports for different reasons, along with two people who lost their entry permits.

Another person was arrested for possessing an assault rifle, with two people who tried to enter a restricted area and two others who tried to steal the luggage of some passengers.
