Environment policemen arrested eight Asians for diving into deep sea to collect oysters. The officers confiscated about 202 kilograms of oysters in their possession. Security sources said the Operations Room received information about some people collecting oysters in Zour sea area, prompting the arrival of environment policemen to the scene accompanied by researchers from the Environment Public Authority (EPA) to monitor and record the entire fishing process.

The eight Asians were arrested for infringing Article 100 of Environmental Law that prohibits collecting, harming, possessing or transporting any land or marine fungal organism whether dead or alive or even tampering with young ones or nests or eggs of the organisms.
