Couple Murdered Their 4-year-old Daughter

The murder of a four-year-old girl by her father sent shockwaves across Kuwait as more details emerged after interrogation.

Salim Sabah Abdulla Buhan, 26, beat up his daughter to death at his house located at 12 Abu Dhar Al-Ghaffari Avenue in the district of Al-Salmaniya.

He then plotted, along his ‘bidoun’ wife, an Iraqi national, to hide the corpse of their child Israa in a freezer.

The man first claimed that his daughter died after swallowing narcotic pills.

However, he later admitted to torturing his daughter to death, saying that she was hyperactive and used to disturb the husband-wife duo a lot.

He then conspired, along with his wife, to purchase a freezer to hide the body of the child and evade justice.

Initial investigation concluded that the wife, 23, who tried to cover up her husband’s crime, might have played a key role in the murder.

“The Public Prosecution will interrogate the wife to reveal more details as her husband said she was present when he shrouded his daughter and stored in the freezer”, a security source toldAlanba Arabic newspaper.

A General Directorate of Criminal Investigation team raided the man’s house and found the body, which was wrapped up in plastic cover and hidden in the freezer.

The post mortem report said serious injuries, burns in the shoulder and legs and traces of torture were found on her body.

According to the doctor, the man had put cotton in her mouth, nose and ear, the way dead people are prepared for burial.

The same security source revealed that the couple, who are now in police detention, have three other children.
