20 December 2016 Crime News

The Misdemeanor Court upheld the verdict of the Court of First Instance that acquitted a general manager of a commercial company of forging proceedings of an invitation to attend the general assembly meeting of the company. The Public Prosecution had charged the accused of fraudulent act with the intention of giving false impression. She referred to herself as the general manager of the company to validate deception. She had already been discharged from duty in a previous court ruling that invalidated her appointment, even though she continued claiming the aforementioned position. Defense Attorney Ali Al Wawan representing the accused affirmed lack of incriminating evidence of cheating against his client. He said his client since the beginning of investigations had stuck to the position of general manager based on the last decision and minutes of the last general assembly that were not invalidated by court rulings
