Court Has Decided To Release Twitter User On Bail

The Public Prosecution has decided to release on KD 2,000 bail the Twitter user Hamad Bu Yabes who’s involved in State Security case. The case files indicate that Bu Yabes was charged by the Public Prosecution for abusing the United Arab Emirates and HH the Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Muhammad bin Rashid through a photo and indecent statements he published on his Twitter page. Bu Yabes is also accused of violating national unity law with the aim of inciting sedition among members of the society, and misusing his mobile phone to commit the above-mentioned crimes.
