Court Rejected A Case Filed By Doctors Against The Minister

 The Administrative Court presided over by Judge Muhammad Al-Tamimi rejected a case filed by five doctors (doctorates) against the minister of Higher Education imploring the court to annul an administrative decision that appointed Dr Fahad Al-Hajiri as Dean of Higher Institute for Dramatic Arts. The case files indicate the five plaintiffs filed a case to demand annulment of administrative decision No. 63/2014 issued on July 10, 2014, alleging the appointment of dean of the institute was done against regulation No. 32/2010 that mandates the formation of a committee to interview and nominate candidates for the dean’s post. However, after cross-examination and presentation of the rules and regulations governing the institution, the court upheld the appointment of Dr Al-Hajiri as it was in line with the law.
