Court Sentenced 3 Month Imprisonment To Popular Female Fashion Designer

The Misdemeanor Court sentenced a popular female fashion designer to three-month imprisonment with hard labor over charges of committing fraud and swindling a Kuwaiti woman, reports Al-Shahed daily.

Reportedly, Lawyer Sultan Al-Mendel had lodged a complaint with the concerned authorities in 2015, accusing the fashion designer of committing fraud and swindling his client after convincing the latter to invest KD 40,000 in her latest commercial project of a boutique. The lawyer said the defendant, after receiving the money, kept trying to dodge his client by not answering her calls every time she called to ask about the completion of the project.
