Court Sentenced Kuwaiti To 4 Years In Jail For Forging Certificates

The Criminal Court has sentenced a Kuwaiti to four years in jail for forging school certificates issued by an institution in Saudi Arabia, reports Al-Rai daily. The same court also refrained from issuing a verdict against 16 others for unknown reasons. The daily added, the forgery was discovered when the certificates were submitted to Kuwait’s Ministry of Education for accreditation. According to court papers the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Private Education Dept, of Kuwait notified the Saudi Embassy in Kuwait that the certificates issued by Saudi Arabia contained false data and provided the embassy the names of the students. When the embassy cross checked, it was discovered the certificates had been tampered with.
