Dasman Institute Launches Diabetes Awareness Programs

The Dasman Diabetes Institute is eager to launch comprehensive training and awareness programs on the disease during the Muslim holy fasting month of Ramadan. All through the year,

The Institute already organizes awareness workshops on the health of diabetic patients, to help them to cope with the disease, in line with the international recommendations and criteria, said Director General Dr. Qais Saleh Al-Duwairi in a press statement.

In addition, the institution pays great attention to scientific research in order to reach the most effective methods for diabetes prevention, and treatment. Part of this, several researchers are being carried out in Kuwait, focusing on diabetes and consequences of the disease, Al-Duwairi said.

Up to 8,189 patients are recorded at the Dasman Diabetes Institute, while up to 136,948 others visited it to receive treatment since it was opened in June 2006.
