Duo Arrested In Possession Of Liquor
Ahmadi securitymen arrested six individuals and issued 30 traffic citations against motorists during a security campaign that they launched in Ahmadi Governorate based on instructions from Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs at Ministry of Interior Major General Ibrahim Al- Tarrah and under the supervision of Ahmadi Security Director Brigadier Abdullah Safa.
According to security sources, two Kuwaiti citizens were among those who were arrested during the campaign. One of them was stopped for checking while he was speeding down the coastal road. Securitymen checked his vehicle to find three bottles of imported liquor and some narcotic pills.
The other citizen was arrested as he was wanted by law for the enforcement of a sentence of two-year imprisonment issued against him over a criminal case.
The arrested individuals also included an Indian expatriate who was arrested in possession of 40 bottles of locally manufactured liquor, two expatriates who were reported as absconding and another expatriate who did not have his identification documents with him.
All six arrested individuals were referred to the concerned authorities with the confiscated items for necessary legal action against them. The sources affirmed that such security campaigns will continue to be held in all six governorates for arresting the violators of law.
