Egyptian Arrested For Selling Stolen Medicines

10 November 2016 Crime News

Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department have arrested a female Egyptian pharmacist for selling medicines stolen from a public hospital. Investigations showed the 52-yearold pharmacist, identified only as SF, sold the medicines for half the face value after removing the MOH label from the drugs. Further investigations revealed the medicines were initially stolen by cleaning company workers and sold to the pharmacist for a very low price. Plainclothes police put the pharmacist working in Salmiya under surveillance for some time and then raided the pharmacy and seized large quantities of medicines – from the pharmacy, her car and her home.
