Electricity And Water Consumption Increased

The electricity consumption rate jumped on the first day of Ramadan to a 12,021 megawatts recorded on 12:45 pm; marking the first time it exceeds 12,000 MW this summer, Al-Rai Arabic news paper reported. The Ministry of Electricity and Water expects the highest consumption percentage to reach 13,500 MW this summer, while the maximum daily production capacity reaches 15,500 MW. 

Meanwhile, water consumption recorded on the first day of Ramadan reached 441,298 million imperial gallons, while production surpassed consumption by 20 million imperial gallons.
