Electricity Minister Signed Kd 17.4 Million Contract To Replace Overhead Power Lines

Minister of Electricity and Water Ahmad Al-Jassar signed on Sunday a contract worth KD 17.4 million to replace overhead power lines in scattered areas across the country.

The Ministry of Electricity and Water noted that the deal, signed with electromechanical firm EMECO, includes replacing 300,132-kilovolt power lines in various areas in the country.

Moreover, the refurbishment is expected to result in maximal and durable electrical capacity, the statement added. Furthermore, it noted that the contract is valid for 34 months, where the company will be using up to 500-kilovolt electrical equipment.
