31 March 2016 Kuwait

A Syrian teacher is facing deportation for posting pictures of female students on Snapchat with defamatory comments. Education and Higher Education Minister Dr. Badr Al-Isa said that the female teacher would be deported immediately if proven guilty.
The expatriate teacher who faced parents’ backlash, works at a public school at Al-Farwaniya district. She is also employed as a trainer at the International Nursing Institute in Houli.

"Teachers are not authorized to take photos of their students in classrooms", the minister said, adding that violators would be held accountable. Commenting on parents who lodged complaints against the ministry of education and the teacher, Dr. Al-Isa said, "It’s their business. The ministry is not concerned."
