Fireworks Illuminate Kuwait Skies In Celebration Of National Day And Liberation Day

06 March 2016 Kuwait

Kuwait skies on Saturday were lit with huge colorful fireworks as part of the "Kuwait Al-Ataa" (Giving) festival held on the occasion of 55th National Day and the 25th Liberation Day, as well as the 10th anniversary of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's ascension to power.

The landmark Kuwait Towers, the site of the celebrations, shone magnificently as fireworks and laser drew images of the country's history, depicting major events of the past since Kuwait was established, through the Iraqi invasion and last year's Imam Al-Sade Mosque terrorist attack. Special focus was given to His Highness the Amir's wise leadership and diplomacy.

Thousands of Kuwaitis and expatriates took to the streets, overwhelmed with pleasure and delight as they enjoyed the event. Excellent organization of the festival was secured through fruitful cooperation between the Amiri Diwan and other relevant state bodies.
