Fuel Stations Strike From Sunday Is Untrue

14 April 2016 Kuwait

Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) on Wednesday quashed "rumors" circulated on social media that petrol stations were affected by staff going on strike, and cannot provide fuel to clients. This is "utterly untrue," the KNPC said in an exclusive statement to KUNA.

The company stressed that its strategic stockpile of petroleum products is sufficient for more than a month. The KNPC remains capable of operating refineries and to provide petroleum products for local, and world markets, the statement noted.
It emphasized that all fuel stations continue to provide clients with all petroleum byproducts.
