Gang Of Bootleggers And Liquor-manufacturing Material Seized
Three Asians were arrested for operating a local liquor factory in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh with 48 barrels and 12 cartons of liquor, along with tools for the manufacturing liquor, in their possession. While patrolling the area, Farwaniya security officers got suspicious when they noticed a man carrying a bag. When the officers asked the man to present his identification documents, he threw the bag and ran away. The officers then discovered the bag contained six liquor bottles. The officers chased the suspect until he entered a house which turned out to be a local liquor factory.
Several barrels of liquor and bottles ready for sale were found in the factory. Three Asians were arrested during the raid and they were referred to the concerned security department for legal action. On the other hand, Mubarak Al-Kabeer security officers raided a place being used as local liquor factory in Sabah Al-Salem. They arrested eight expatriates, including six Asians, with 450 liquor bottles and 165 barrels, in their possession. Security officers will continue to track down criminals in compliance with the instructions of Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major General Abdul Fattah Al-Ali.
