Heavily Indebted Kuwaiti Couple Offers To Sell Woman Kidney
An unidentified Kuwaiti woman, who says she and her husband are heavily indebted, has put for sale her kidney for KD 200,000 to raise the money. Several passersby and pedestrians who saw billboard on a main street in Adailiya offering the organ for sale were taken by surprise and when the newspaper tried to contact the woman, found her cell phone switched off.
As soon as the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior received information about the incident, securitymen from the Capital Governorate accompanied by men from the Kuwait Municipality rushed to the spot and removed all the billboards. The head of emergency team of the Kuwait Municipality, Capital Governorate Tariq Al-Qattan said “the team in cooperation with the Interior Ministry, acting on a tip-off rushed to the spot and removed all billboards which were planted in several areas around Adailiya.”
