Jordanian Teachers Quit Their Jobs In Kuwait

15 November 2016 Information

Most of the Jordanian teachers who had signed contracts with Ministry of Education in March 2016 have left Kuwait, a move that was expected due to the decision of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) issued in October 2016 to reduce the housing allowance of expatriate teachers from KD 150 to KD 60.

According to sources from Ministry of Education, these teachers had left the country without notifying the ministry especially since the ministry had not yet completed the procedures of transferring their residencies.

They had not even received their salaries because as per the CSC regulations, the new teachers will not receive salaries until the completion of their probation period of three months.
