Kuwait Authorities Seek Assistance Of Interpol To Track Down A Woman Who Embezzled Millions Of Dinars

Authorities in Kuwait will seek assistance of the Interpol to track down a woman who embezzled millions of dinars and fled to Iran. “Steps are underway to secure an international notice against Kuwaiti fraudster who duped people and conned them of KD12 million,” .

The same source revealed that one lawsuit has been filed so far in a court so far to claim KD 70,000. The runaway fraudster has been working at the Ministry of Electricity and Water for 16 years. She tendered her resignation last Sunday and left the country after selling her properties and car.

The engineer, known only by her initials 'B. Sh', tricked people to invest their money for a 50 per cent guaranteed return. She even promised 100 per cent return on their investment within six months and this led people to invest huge amount. 

A source at the Ministry of Electricity and Water said that she preyed particularly on businessmen and investors. She reportedly failed to keep her promises, which pushed her to take the money and flee to Iran. The victims have started filing suits against the fugitive woman, hoping for her extradition to Kuwait.
