Kuwait Cricket In Collaboration With Idp Inaugurated The U-19 Juniors Championship

Kuwait Cricket in collaboration with IDP inaugurated the U-19 Juniors Championship powered by MGA in association with indiansinkuwait.com on the 10th of December 2016.

The 10 weeks long tournament kicked off at TACK Entertainment city cricket ground where chairman of the KC Executive Council Mr. Mahmoud Bastaki, Title Sponsor KC Domestic Tournaments and Vice Chairman Kuwait Veterans Cricket Club (KVCC) Mr. Mahmoud Abdullah, Director Domestic & Marketing Mr. Sajid Ashraf, Director Juniors & Corporate Mr. Harshith Vora, Managing Director Al Hafiz Company and Official Print Solutions Partner of Kuwait Cricket Mr. Hafiz Shabbir attended the ceremony in style.

The tournament will see 10 club sides, containing some of the very talented players of Kuwait u-19 battling it out to win the title.

Mr. Mahmoud Bastaki addressing the clubs said: “The u-19 club format cricket will give a real boost to the cricket of youngsters.
“Our aim is to build a tournament that will help the next generation benefitted from the facilities we have these days. He also emphasized on the fitness and discipline which is must in making of a cricketer.

Mr. Mahmoud Abdullah said: it is indeed a joy watching young clubs participating and showcasing their skills utilizing the best of facilities provided by Kuwait Cricket.
"Friendship through cricket is the clear message for the youngsters".

Mr Harshith Vora ensured full support to all the participating clubs as the Director of Juniors cricket and coming from the grass roots himself under Kuwait Cricket U-15 levels, Mr Vora emphasized on the need of reviving juniors cricket like never before in order to assist Kuwait in performing better in international junior tournaments.

Mr. Sajid Ashraf, Director Domestic and Marketing concluded the inauguration ceremony with an expectation of full focus on discipline from the juniors and thanked all council members, sponsors for their presence and especially the Manager of logistics Mr. Robert Dsouza , match officials, tournament coordinator Mr. Ghayoor Ahmed for their hard work and sincere efforts
