Kuwait Government Will Submit Subsidies Rationalization Proposals To House

The government will submit to parliament a study prepared by an international consultant, which aimed at rationlizing subsidies on goods and services to ultimately benefit those who deserve subsidies, Finance Minister said Monday.

Anas Al-Saleh, also Deputy Prime Minister, said in a statement to KUNA the government would explain to the National Assembly the financial and economic situation of the state.

The government, he added, would also explain "the pressing financial challenges we face despite the current solid economic condition." He said the government would table a series of proposals to guarantee the state's ability to provide sustainable well-being for citizens.
